Teaching plan for unit 3

B-Let’s learn

Teaching aims:

1. to listen, read, say and write new words and phrases: dictionary, post card, newspaper, magazine, comic book

2. to listen,read and understand sentences: what are you going to do? I am going to buy an English book in the bookstore. When are you going? This afternoon.

3. to make new sentences with the sentence pattern: what are you going to buy? I am going to buy…

4. to understand and sing the song in Let’s chant.

Teaching importance and difficulties:

1. to listen, read, say, and write new words and phrases

2. to understand and make new sentence with the simple future tense.

Teaching procedures:

Step 1: Warming up and review

1. Let’s chant

2. Review: how to ask plan

---What are you going to do+时间?

---I am going to+事件.

(Look at pictures, ask and answer)

---Lily, what are you going to do in the post office?

---I am going to send some post cards in the post office.

Step 2: Presentation

1. Guess: What am I going to do? --------I am going to buy some books in the bookstore.

2. Q: What books can you buy in the bookstore? -----review: English book, Chinese book, maths book, music book, storybook.

3. Compare comic book with story book.

4. Split newspaper into news and paper, then introduce some famous nespaper in the world.

5. Guess: In this kind book, we can find many new words. It is useful to us.---dictionary

6. Q: What else can we buy in the bookstore?---magazine, and then introduce some famous magazines in the world.

7. Show word cards, ask Ss to read one by one.

8. Do some practice:

(1) Find houses for the words;

(2) Fill in the blanks and match;

(3) Listen and choose what books do they want to buy.

Step 3: Consolidation and extension

1. Guess: What books am I going to buy thhis afternoon?

Q: Why do I want to buy some dictionaries?

2. Lisen and find out what books Chenlong and Yaoming are going to buy for the poor primary school.

3. Send love to the poor primary school.

(1) Make a shopping list about what books you want to buy for the poor

(2) Show out shopping list: I am going to buy +时间+地点.

(3) Group works in three: make a dialogue.

A: Hi, B . What are you going to buy?

B: Hello, A . I am going to buy 20 magazines. What about you?

A: I am going to buy 10 dictionaries. Let’s go to Xinhua Bookstore.

Salesman: Can I help you?

A: Yes. Do you have some dictionaries?

Salesman : Sure. Here they are!

B : Do you have some magazines?

Salesman : Yes. Here they are!

(4) fill in the blanks and read the Thankful post cards from the poor.

Homework:

1. finish exercise in workbook.

2. recite the new words
